Texas Instruments TUSB8041 4-Port-Super-Speed-USB-3.0-Hubs bieten gleichzeitig Super-Speed-USB- und High-Speed/Full-Speed-Anschlüsse auf dem Upstream-Port. Sie verfügen auch über Super-Speed-USB-, High-Speed-, Full-Speed- oder Low-Speed-Anschlüsse auf den Downstream-Ports. Wenn der Upstream-Port an eine elektrische Umgebung angeschlossen wird, die nur Highspeed oder Fullspeed/Lowspeed-Verbindungen unterstützt, wird die SuperSpeed USB-Konnektivität an den Downstream-Ports deaktiviert. Wenn der Upstream-Port an eine elektrische Umgebung angeschlossen wird, die nur Fullspeed/Lowspeed-Verbindungen, unterstützt, wird die SuperSpeed USB- und die Highspeed-Konnektivität an den Downstream-Ports deaktiviert. Der TUSB8041 unterstützt Einzel-Port-Schaltung oder Mehrfachschaltung, Überstromschutz und Batterieladeanwendungen.
