SparkFun Arduino Shields
Prototyping
SparkFun ProtoShield Kit mates with the Arduino USB board and gives a small soldering area, two general LEDs, access to a BlueSMiRF socket, a general pushbutton switch, and most important of all — the Arduino reset switch is brought to the top level.

Ethernet, WiFi, Wireless, GPS
SparkFun XBee Shield mates directly with any development board that has an Arduino standard footprint and equips it with wireless communication capabilities using the XBee module. This unit works with all XBee modules, including the Series 1 and 2, standard, and Pro versions.
Music and Sound
SparkFun MP3 Player Shield is an MP3 decoder with the capabilities of storing music files onto a microSD card, allowing the ability to add music or sound effects to any project. The board will pull MP3 files from a microSD card and play them using only one shield, turning any Arduino into an MP3 player.
Displays and Cameras
SparkFun EL Escudo Dos is an Arduino shield for controlling up to eight strands of electroluminescent wire. EL wire is a flexible plastic cord that glows brightly when high-voltage AC is applied. The wire is available in numerous colors, runs cool, and requires minimal current.
Motor Drivers
SparkFun Ardumoto is a dual-motor controller shield for Arduino that can control two DC motors. Based on the L298 H-bridge, the SparkFun Ardumoto can drive up to 2A per channel. The board takes its power from the same Vin line as the Arduino board, includes blue and yellow LEDs to indicate active direction, and all driver lines are diode-protected from back EMF.
Sensors
SparkFun Weather Shield is an easy-to-use Arduino shield for access to barometric pressure, relative humidity, luminosity, and temperature. The Weather Shield utilizes the Si7021 humidity/temperature sensor, the MPL3115A2 barometric pressure sensor, and the ALS-PT19 light sensor. The shield relies on the Si7021 and MPL3115A2 Arduino libraries.
