Diodes Incorporated IntelliFET Self-Protected MOSFETs
Diodes Inc. IntelliFET Self-Protected MOSFETs integrate a power MOSFET with a complete array of protection circuits. These protections guard against ESD, over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature conditions. Intelligent MOSFETs sense potentially catastrophic conditions and protects themselves and the connected loads. These protection functions improve overall system reliability. Additional features like status flags provide diagnostic capabilities that aid isolation and rectification faults within a vehicle.
The IntelliFET self-protected MOSFETs are categorized as low side or high side devices. The MOSFETS are high side devices where the load is switched with reference to ground, low side devices where the load is switched with reference to a floating point. Low-side intelliFET self-protected MOSFETs can be used in harsh environments for immunity from radiated and conducted emissions. Self-protected MOSFETs are ideally used for automotive and industrial applications.
